Apex Auctions to auction off Coryton oil refinery equipment in the UK
Apex Auctions, one of the UK’s leading used machinery auctioneers, will be holding an auction of valves, detection and monitoring equipment.
The administrators behind the closure of Coryton Oil Refinery have recently instructed Apex Auctions to auction a range of equipment, which is now surplus to requirement.
Currently available from Coryton Oil Refinery are a large quantity of unused valves including Rosemount 5900S Radar level tank gauges, Rosemount 2410 tank hubs, Rosemount 2250S multi-input temperature transmitters, and Pentair 10” pneumatic butterfly valves.
As well as an extensive range of process and butterfly valves, also available are graphical field displays, regulators, PIR detector posts, a large range of tooling, electric motors, and general workshop equipment.
Apex is currently overseeing the sale of a large proportion of the Coryton plant, and are also selling a GEC Alsthom gas turbine generator unit and heat recovery steam generator, mobile fire pump, and a diesel locomotive.
At its peak, the 753MW gas-fired power station at Coryton Oil Refinery was refining 220,000 barrels per day and producing 3.6 million tonnes of petrol and 2.7 million tonnes of diesel every year.
Apex Auctions is a market leading auction house specialising in used machinery and equipment across a wide range of industries and markets with over 30,000 items sold across 150 auctions each year.
