Alltec introduces new series of hardwired AC surge protection devices

Alltec, a company specialising in engineered grounding/earthing and bonding solutions, surge/transient protection, and lightning protection, is manufacturing a new series of surge protection devices for mission critical infrastructure.

The Dynashield ADSx2F Series has been designed as fast responding, high current handling devices for the protection of sensitive electronic equipment and systems from damaging transient surge events.

The SPDs are designed with individual thermally protected MOV technology and are listed to ANSI/UL 1449 3rd Edition as Type 2 suppressors. A proprietary circuit design offers voltage protection levels at high surge currents to meet the most demanding protection requirements.

A 200 kAIC fault current rating qualifies the SPD to handle the highest levels of surge protection for commercial and industrial applications. All models offer UL 1283 listed frequency reactive circuitry (FRC) to attenuate EMI/RFI noise up to -50dB at 100kHz. Diagnostics include unique high luminosity blue status LEDs for each phase and dry relay contacts for remote annunciation.

Designed especially for harsh environments such as those found in oil and gas, industrial automation, water/wastewater or telecom communication sites, all models are offered in several NEMA 4X enclosures; polycarbonate, painted steel or stainless steel.

This SPD offers protection with ratings of 50kA, 100kA, 200kA or 300kA, with exclusive voltage reactive circuitry (VRC) to ensure superior protection ratings.
