Aalberts IPS highlights advanced Apollo 215L butterfly valve line for superior flow control

news item image
Aalberts integrated piping systems (IPS) has showcased its "Apollo"® 215L butterfly valve product line, engineered to meet the evolving demands of industrial, commercial and utility applications.
These valves are designed to provide exceptional flow control, durability and ease of maintenance, ensuring optimal system performance and longevity.
The "Apollo"® 215L butterfly valve product line is distinguished by its double offset design, which provides improved sealing and reduced wear compared to concentric designs.
The valves incorporate RTFM (TFM 1700) seat material, offering greater wear resistance and a higher modulus for improved overall performance. Consistent sealing over time is ensured by disc spring washers with live loading technology, which also compensates for wear.
Shaft support and smooth operation are maximised through the use of full-length upper and lower bearings, contributing to the valve's longevity.
Carbon steel valve bodies receive excellent corrosion protection through a polyamide epoxy primer with a polyurethane topcoat. The inclusion of a positive cast disc stop prevents seat damage from over-travel of the disc, while tangential disc pins are placed in compression rather than shear, eliminating potential failure of the disc-stem connection.
