Metso expands valve portfolio with acquisition

In a bid to extend its valve solution portfolio and address a ‘wider scope of customer needs in flow control’, Metso has acquired the valve automation division of India-based Rotex Manufacturers and Engineers.

Following the acquisition, Metso says a range of valves, actuators, limit switches and pneumatics are to be added to Metso’s flow control offering.

“With these solutions, we offer an even more comprehensive portfolio to cater to the wide variety of needs customers in process industries have”, said Simo Sääskilahti, senior vice president for, valve equipment at Metso.

“Their challenge is to find the optimal solution for each application easily and efficiently from a trusted supplier. In addition to compatability, reliability and performance, we are committed to providing excellence in services and customer support.”

Among the new additions to Metso’s range are the Jamesbury EasyFlow range of valve solutions and Neles Scotch Yoke actuators.
