69km India–Nepal pipeline to be complete by 2019

Reported by Khmer Times, India and Nepal are collaborating on an oil pipeline that will link the cities of Motihari in India and Amlekhgunj in Nepal.

India’s petroleum Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan detailed the pipeline plans whilst visiting the city of Janakpur in Nepal.

“India and Nepal are now working together to build the 69-km oil pipeline from Motihari in India to Amlekhgunj in Nepal. We believe that the construction of the pipeline will be finished within one year,” Pradhan said.

The minister also revealed further interest in future pipeline projects for liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
