Wilden’s new high pressure AODD pumps reduce air consumption and energy costs

Wilden, part of PSG and a global air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pump technology provider, has released two new 1½” (38 mm) advanced high pressure bolted metal AODD pump models.

The HS400S and HS430S models utilise a bolted configuration, which ensures total product containment, and feature redesigned liquid paths to reduce internal friction to maximize output and efficiency.

The pumps are shear sensitive, dry-run capable, externally serviceable, completely submersible, and comply with all CE and ATEX requirements.

The new high pressure pumps also come equipped with the Wilden Pro-Flo Shift aid distribution system (ADS).

The Pro-Flo Shift incorporates a unique air control spool that automatically restricts the amount of air going into the pump during the latter part of each stroke, which eliminates over-filling of the air chamber and results in reduced air consumption.

By optimising air consumption, the technology lowers energy and operating costs, achieving up to 60% savings over traditional AODD pump technologies.

Its robust design makes the Pro-Flo Shift well-suited for use in harsh operating environments.

The HS400S is available in aluminium, and the HS430S comes in stainless steel and features an exact installation fit for easy replacement of many existing pumps including an exact bolt-down footprint and inlet/discharge connections.

Both pumps feature a maximum discharge pressure to 17.2 bar and maximum flow rates of 227lpm (60gpm) for the HS400S and 242lpm (64gpm) for the HS430S.

Diaphragms are available in Wil-Flex.
