Seepex launches new SCT pumps

Seepex has launched a new design in their smart conveying technology (SCT) range for progressive cavity pumps.

In addition to the 1-stage design for pressures up to 4 bar, SCT is now available in a 2-stage design for pressures up to 8 bar.

The 2-stage design has the same features as the 1-stage SCT with a stator split into two halves, which can be removed from the rotor without dismantling suction or discharge pipework, a quick release rotor, and an intelligent re-tensioning system.

According to Seepex, the new SCT has been further developed for higher pressures and offers enhanced pump performance, longer component life, and easier maintenance.  

The SCT pumps have been recognised with three international awards for having lower power requirements than conventional designs, reducing maintenance time up to 85%, providing planned predictive maintenance with no unplanned downtime, reducing the risk of ragging, and making it easier to clear blockages and rags.
