Wanner pumps up the action at ACHEMA

news item image
Wanner International has been demonstrating two fully-operational Hydra-Cell® high efficiency seal-less and packing-free chemical processing pumps at ACHEMA.

Visitors to the stand were able to see the extremely low pulse MT08 dosing pump in action, producing a smooth flow for consistent processes.

Visitors also viewed the internal components of the pump head, including the triplex diaphragms of the fully-functional pumps with their clear perspex head and other cutaway demonstration pumps on display.

The MT08 exceeds API 675 standards and boasts extremely low pulse flow with multiple diaphragms in a single pump head. These negate the need for pulsation dampeners delivering accurate and smooth flow for chemical dosing and metering applications.

The MT08 is part of Wanner’s Hydra-Cell seal-less range of low pulse dosing solutions.

It is the true positive displacement pumping action and the low pulsation which makes the pumps so highly energy efficient, with more than 90% energy conversion from pump shaft input power to hydraulic output power possible, achieving significant savings.

There are no leaks of the process liquid as the pumping chamber is 100% sealed and no liquid waste. Many traditional pumps (centrifugal, gear, lobe, progressing cavity) used in sub 5m3/hr liquid transfer duties have dynamic seals. Often the process liquid is affected by air or moisture forming micron size suspended solids.

Paul Davis, managing director of Wanner International, said: “We are really pleased to be returning to ACHEMA after such a long break due to the pandemic. And we are particularly pleased to be able to demonstrate our innovative pumps for the industry to see their safety, accuracy, flexibility and efficiency for themselves.”
