Tsurumi pumps used in construction of new Singapore hospital

Tsurumi Pumps have delivered 10 submersible pumps to be used in the building of a new hospital in Singapore.
The hospital will be the largest in the country with four levels below ground and 19 above ground and it will play a key role in supporting the growing ageing population in the South East Asian nation.
Tsurumi’s KT-Z series pumps were used to pump slurry from a storage pit dug 18 metres below ground level to a water treatment system.
Due to the cast iron body and high-chromium cast iron impeller, the pumps performed stably under the challenging conditions without any problems.
The KT-Z’s slim design allows it to be used in confined spaces, and the discharge direction is selectable between vertical and inclined. This prevents bending, folding or bending of the discharge hose.

The pump with its 7.5-15kW motor incorporates seal pressure relief ports that prevent the pumping pressure from applying to the shaft seal.
