Trafag’s next-generation Hybrid Gas Density monitor

news item image
Trafag has highlighted the versatile accessory suite tailored for the 879x Hybrid Gas Density Monitor.
Trafag set out to fix some of the industry's most burdensome tasks with their products, and their integrated fill port systems now set the industry standard.
It is optimised for both direct in-site analysing of gas quality and safe, direct gas replenishment without needing to remove the monitor.
Configurable in four orientations, 0°, 180°, 270°, and 90°, the fill port is adaptable to various installation layouts and site preferences.
The robust DN8 coupling, supports secure gas handling across extreme environments and provides exceptional maintenance accessibility. With an M26x1.5 protective cap and two internally mounted, double-sealed O-rings, the fill port provides enhanced leak protection and a mechanical lifetime of at least 250 actuation cycles. Operating limits for opening/closing are -25°C to +50°C.
To defend against harsh environmental conditions, Trafag offers tailor-made thermal jackets and rain covers.
The thermal foam cover improves thermal inertia, protecting the monitor from rapid temperature fluctuation in high-altitude, sun-exposed, arctic, or desert site installations.
Multiple connector options, including M12x1, 5-pole A-coding, and ITT Cannon connectors allow for easy and flexible electrical integration with various control systems.
EMC cable glands are available in several sizes to accommodate different cable diameters to provide up to IP67 wire protection.
Whether with plug-in or gland connections, Trafag ensures compatibility with modern installation preferences, minimizing setup time while maximising ingress protection.
At the frontier of accessory innovation, Trafag delivers adapters for unique ports, engineered specifically to fulfill specialized industry requirements. The pressure connection adapter, such as the 2300 - G1/2” male, exemplifies Trafag’s commitment to versatility as it allows the 879x hybrid density monitor to be retrofitted where non-standard, legacy, or unique process connections are present. These adapters bridge diverse installation standards seamlessly, enabling integration where other monitors and accessories fall short.
