Trafag’s next generation accessory suite for hybrid gas density monitor

news item image
Trafag has showcased the benefits of its versatile accessory suite tailored for the 879x Hybrid Gas Density Monitor.
Designed for demanding applications in power transmission and high-voltage technologies, these premium-grade accessories enhance reliability, usability and adaptability, setting new benchmarks for operational excellence.

With many years of servicing the switchgear market, Trafag set out to address some of the industry’s most burdensome tasks with its products, and its integrated fill port systems now set the industry standard.
The system is optimised for both direct on-site analysis of gas quality and safe, direct gas replenishment without the need to remove the monitor.

Configurable in four orientations — 0°, 90°, 180° and 270° — the fill port is adaptable to various installation layouts and site preferences.
The robust DN8 coupling supports secure gas handling across extreme environments and provides exceptional maintenance accessibility.

With an M26x1.5 protective cap and two internally mounted, double-sealed O-rings, the fill port provides enhanced leak protection and a mechanical lifetime of at least 250 actuation cycles. Operating limits for opening and closing are -25°C to +50°C.

To protect against harsh environmental conditions, Trafag offers tailor-made thermal jackets and rain covers.
The thermal foam cover improves thermal inertia, protecting the monitor from rapid temperature fluctuations in high-altitude, sun-exposed, Arctic or desert site installations.
