T. D. Williamson celebrates 100 years of pipeline servicing

Global pipeline services provider T. D. Williamson (TDW) celebrated its 100th anniversary on 2 January 2020, using the occasion to recognise its growth alongside the oil and gas industry.

TDW has partnered with pipeline owners and operators for 100 years, learning their needs and pioneering solutions to create safer, more reliable pipelines. The centennial is an opportunity for team members to reflect on the company’s past, focus on the president and look to the future.

The company was established in 1920 by T. D. Williamson Senior as an electrical services contractor. By the 1930s, it had expanded into general oilfield products and services. After furnishing the cleaning tools for the War Emergency Pipeline Office during the Second World War, TDW evolved into a pipeline solutions company, establishing its first location in the US in Tulsa.

Today, the company operates across the world, providing pigging, advanced isolation and in-line inspection products and services from locations in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, India, the Middle East, North Africa and Eurasia.

The 100 years celebration will begin a community relations initiative aligned with the company’s culture of charitable giving. Team members around the world will complete 100 community events by the end of 2020.
