Spotlight on wastewater treatment with TV slot

news item image
In a TV show that will explain the complex journey of the wastewater treatment process, Lakeside Equipment Corporation is set to feature in Public Television’s All Access with Andy Garcia.
Lakeside was approached to be part of this popular educational program that takes the audience behind the scenes to show the workings and necessity of wastewater treatment, exploring the question: “Where does the water go, after it is flushed?”
Lakeside chose the backdrop of the award-winning wastewater treatment plant at Bull Shoals, Arkansas, situated on the picturesque White River.
Combining exceptional equipment and highly trained operators, this plant epitomizes the environmental consciousness required for returning clean water to the pristine river that is world renowned for its trout fishing.
Dan Widdel, president of Lakeside Equipment Corporation, commented: “It is an honour indeed for us to partner with such a very educational and informative TV programme, bringing to light the positive and usually unrecognized work that our industry does to an extremely wide audience.
“Most people don’t realise all the incredible work that goes into transforming raw wastewater and stormwater into usable, environmentally friendly water.
“We are also able to add a call to action, highlighting the importance of being mindful of what is disposed of down drains and toilets, encouraging the proper disposal of wipes – NEVER TO BE FLUSHED – as well as greases, chemicals and medications.”
A sneak preview of some of the filming that has taken place can be seen at www.lakeside-equipment.com – with this special All Access With Andy Garcia programme due for broadcast soon.
