Smith & Loveless maximises total dynamic head with EVERLAST™ Series Hi-Head Pump Station

The EVERLAST™ Hi-Head Pump Station utilises pumps in series operation, connecting two S&L STAR ONE™ Non-Clog Pumps so that the discharge of the first pump feeds directly into the inlet of the second pump.
This series configuration uniquely increases total dynamic head (TDH) capability up to 316 feet (96 metres), supporting applications with high head requirements while delivering substantial energy savings through reduced horsepower requirements.
All mechanical components, including S&L STAR ONE™ Non-Clog Pumps, are mounted above the wet well, eliminating confined-space hazards during operation and maintenance.
The EVERLAST™ station is completely factory-built and tested to Hydraulic Institute standards, ensuring seamless performance tailored to site-specific conditions while minimising field labour and installation time.
The EVERLAST™ Hi-Head Pump Station’s series operation delivers significant reductions in power costs.
By utilising two pumps in series with lower individual horsepower requirements, the system achieves the required head without the need for a single higher-horsepower pump, allowing for a smaller generator and reduced operating costs.
The vertically mounted, non-clog pumps also feature common suction flanges, enabling the entire lift station to be installed above the wet well, eliminating the need for separate valve vaults and further simplifying the design.
