Rotork has acquired Hanbay, a leading manufacturer of precise, compact, miniature electric actuators.
Hanbay, based in Montreal, Canada, designs and manufactures precise, miniature electric actuators which offer a compact profile and high torque design for use with small valves and instrument valves for use in hazardous and non-hazardous applications.
“This is an exciting new technology platform for us as the electric actuation of small valves represents a great market opportunity for Rotork, with the market segment currently dominated by small pneumatic actuators,” said Kiet Huynh, CEO of the global provider of mission-critical intelligent flow control solutions. “Hanbay products will capitalise on the electrification mega-trend and will fit within all our end markets including decarbonisation.”
The acquisition is part of Rotork’s Growth+ strategy, which is designed to deliver mid to high single digit growth and mid 20s adjusted operating margins over time.
