Rotork adds electric actuator firm to its portfolio
Rotork has acquired Hanbay, based in Montreal, Canada, to further enhance its product range by adding miniature electric actuators to its portfolio.
Hanbay designs and manufactures precise, miniature electric actuators which offer a compact profile and high torque design for use with small valves and instrument valves for use in hazardous and non-hazardous applications.
“This is an exciting new technology platform for us as the electric actuation of small valves represents a great market opportunity for Rotork, with the market segment currently dominated by small pneumatic actuators,” said Kiet Huynh, CEO of Rotork.
“Hanbay products will capitalise on the electrification mega-trend and will fit within all our end markets including decarbonisation.”
The acquisition is part of Rotork’s Growth+ strategy which is designed to deliver mid to high single digit growth and mid 20s adjusted operating margins over time.
