Quattroflow introduces new pump series for biotech applications
Quattroflow, a brand of displacement quaternary diaphragm pumps, has introduced a new series of pump to its family of biotech and pharmaceutical units.
The 5050 series of Quaternary Diaphragm Pump provides multi-option installation flexibility and a compact design. The unit is drainable and easy to clean, and includes multi-directional pump-head connections and positioning.
It features a 225mm chamber diameter and 50mm flange porting. Its flow range reaches from 50-5,000 litres per hour, with maximum pressure to 6bar at 20°C.
The pump chamber is available in 316L stainless steel for multiple-use and polypropylene (PP) for single-use applications. The pump's valves are constructed from EPDM, while the diaphragm is Santoprene (EPDM/PP compound).
The company's positive displacement pumps incorporate a four piston-diaphragm technology with no mechanical seals that is driven by an eccentric shaft and motor. Quattroflow products primarily serve the biotech and pharmaceutical industries that require gentle displacement, reliability, product safety, purity and cleanability.
The 5050 pump can be found in multiple or single-use applications within cross-flow systems, chromatography devices and centrifuges.
