Nitrogen pump specialists, Norfolk based Prior Power Solutions, has announced it has secured a million-pound contract in the Americas which will see the business deploy its nitrogen pump technology across multiple oil and gas platforms in the Gulf of Mexico.
The contract will see Prior Power supply its nitrogen pump technology for projects with international oil and gas majors across the Gulf of Mexico region and which sees the business secure its first export contract for its newly launched nitrogen 90k pump rental product.
James Rix, MD at Prior Power Solutions said: “This is a fantastic win for us and is the first contract over the line for our newly launched pump rental product.
“Our nitrogen pumps are an obvious choice and natural fit for many oil and gas operators where the need to suppress various gases, liquids or other dangerous elements is required when risk assessments and well interventions are needed.
“The fact that this contract has been placed for use across multiple oil and gas assets in the Gulf of Mexico not only demonstrates the flexibility of this product but also the appeal of standardising the technology used when owner operators need to make a well intervention and where the suppression of gases or liquids is required.”
Prior Power Solutions’ Nitrogen Pumps have been designed for use across multiple applications including purging, well bore cleanouts, well fracturing and nitrogen perforation whilst minimising downtime and waste. The first contract secured for the company’s newly launched nitrogen 90k pump rental product, exports are expected to rise as the business manages further enquiries from the Far East, Sub-Sahara Africa, and the Middle East.
Prior Power Solutions is a leading provider in the design and manufacture of nitrogen pumps, fluid pumps, hydraulic power units, coiled tubing equipment, compressors, and generator sets for use in hazardous areas.
