The North West Hydrogen Alliance (NWHA) has announced the addition of three new members, Schneider Electric, Storengy UK and Endress+Hauser.
With these additions, NWHA’s membership rises to the highest since its founding in 2018, marking a significant milestone for the organisation as it builds a collaborative ecosystem to deliver the UK’s hydrogen future.
This announcement follows the recent publication of the NWHA's landmark 2025 Power Report, which sets out a blueprint for unlocking hydrogen-powered electricity and calls for urgent Government action to accelerate hydrogen infrastructure and business model development.
Dave Richardson, interim chair of NWHA and decarbonisation solutions director at Costain, said: “It’s a privilege to be announcing three new members of the Alliance to coincide with the release of our 2025 Power Report, where we called for the Government to unlock Hydrogen to Power and drive net-zero.

Schneider Electric has a longstanding footprint in the North West’s industrial landscape, particularly at the Stanlow Refinery and across the gas pipeline infrastructure, and is actively supporting hydrogen projects across the region.
Storengy UK, part of ENGIE, brings deep expertise in large-scale energy storage. It operates the UK’s largest onshore gas storage site, its Stublach Plant near Northwich, and is developing the HyKeuper Project—an innovative hydrogen storage facility that will support regional decarbonisation.
Endress+Hauser UK who are based in Manchester, are a leading supplier of products, solutions and services for industrial process measurement and automation. The company brings its extensive experience in measurement technologies that support hydrogen production, transport, and storage.
