Next-generation Coriolis flowmeter promises higher accuracy for challenging fluid conditions

news item image
PrecisionFlow Technologies has unveiled its latest Coriolis flowmeter, the PF-CoriFlex 5000, designed to deliver exceptional accuracy for complex and variable-viscosity fluids often encountered in pharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals and food-processing applications.
The PF-CoriFlex 5000 features a redesigned dual-tube architecture constructed from a new low-density alloy, enabling faster vibration response and improved signal clarity. This results in a measurement accuracy of ±0.05%, even when handling aerated liquids, slurries or rapid temperature fluctuations.
The unit’s advanced damping algorithms also ensure stable readings under pulsating pump conditions—traditionally a challenge for conventional Coriolis meters.
A key innovation is the incorporation of PrecisionFlow’s SmartCal digital calibration system. By running automated in-situ verification routines, SmartCal removes the need for costly shutdowns or offsite calibration services. The entire process can be completed in under three minutes, providing operators with a certified report for quality-control documentation.
The flowmeter is also equipped with a high-contrast edge-lit display, HART and Modbus connectivity, and an embedded cybersecurity module designed to prevent configuration tampering in networked installations. Hygienic tri-clamp options and CIP/SIP compatibility make the PF-CoriFlex 5000 suitable for sterile manufacturing environments.
Early adopters have praised its ability to maintain stable performance across multiple product changeovers, significantly reducing the risk of batch inconsistencies.
PrecisionFlow confirms that the PF-CoriFlex 5000 will be available across Europe from May, with additional sizes and industry-specific variants to follow later in the year.
