Mitsubishi Electric FreeFlow — advanced anti-clogging pump panel system
Mitsubishi Electric Automation has launched FreeFlow, a pre-engineered pump control panel system designed to bring smarter fluid handling to water/wastewater, oil & gas and deep well irrigation applications.
This configurable solution addresses common field challenges such as pump clogging, high energy use, and aging infrastructure by integrating Mitsubishi’s FR-F800 variable frequency drive (VFD) technology with auto-tuning and anti-clogging capabilities.
FreeFlow supports single or dual drive configurations with horsepower options from 5 HP to 250 HP and enclosures rated for industrial environments (NEMA 3R/12).
Onboard features include a GT2500 HMI for real-time monitoring, diagnostics, and data logging, plus an FX5 PLC for advanced control logic like automated standby pump switchover.
By reducing manual intervention for clog clearing and optimising energy usage, FreeFlow aims to enhance uptime, lower operational costs, and simplify deployment across harsh service settings.
Registration for @CHEMUK to be held on May 20-21 at the Birmingham NEC is now open.
The event returns as the UK’s largest, most thorough event dedicated to the full chemical supply chain
