Metso has announced robust early demand for its Life Cycle Services (LCS) offering for pumps, introduced in autumn 2025.
Since launch, the company has secured several small- and mid sized multiyear agreements across Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas, reflecting a clear industry shift towards long term, performance based service partnerships.
The LCS programme is designed to improve pump availability, extend wear life, enhance safety and reduce total cost of ownership through predictable, long term support.
In February 2026 alone, Metso signed two five year contracts covering the servicing of more than 100 slurry pumps for mining customers. Typical LCS agreements can reach several million euros depending on scope and duration.
Customers adopting LCS are already seeing measurable operational benefits. Optimised pump operating envelopes can increase availability by approximately 5–10%, while extending component wear life by 15–25%. Standardised maintenance procedures and improved planning can reduce unplanned pump related downtime by 20–30%.
Additional gains include 5–10% improvements in energy and water efficiency, alongside enhanced safety through fewer unplanned interventions and purpose built tools.
Metso’s growing LCS footprint underscores rising global demand for lifecycle focused service models that deliver reliability, efficiency and long term value.
