KSB unveils Imvubu ELN-150 — a heavy-duty self-priming wastewater pump
KSB has revealed the ELN-150 Imvubu, a new self-priming wastewater pump engineered for handling large solids and abrasive slurries in municipal and industrial wastewater applications.
The manufacturer describes the Imvubu as incorporating a widened inlet geometry, optimised impeller profile and hardened wear components to pass larger debris with lower clogging risk while maintaining hydraulic efficiency.
The design reduces maintenance frequency and total cost of ownership by simplifying access to wear parts and employing materials selected for aggressive effluent chemistries. KSB’s announcement highlights local manufacture and field testing under challenging conditions, with performance data showing stable head-flow behaviour across variable loads — a selling point for utilities and contractors working in remote or resource-constrained environments.
The new pump is promoted as a fit for sewer lift stations, treatment-plant grit handling and industrial effluent lines.
