The automated OHL 4-way valve CDM can also be used in systems that utilise SmartSulf® technology to achieve a sulphur recovery rate of up to 99.7%.
Because of the presence of hydrogen sulphide and sulphur dioxide, the processes in sulphur recovery units are highly complex and require valves that are able to withstand extreme conditions.
The OHL 4-way valve CDM incorporates properties that are important for use in toxic, sulphurous and corrosive processes and provides a fail-safe solution for all common operations.
The OHL 4-way valve CDM meets the strict requirements of tightness class IV-V ISO 5208 D and is available up to valve size 40".
SmartSulf® is a sulphur recovery technology based on the Claus process, but does not require a Tail Gas Treatment Unit (TGTU) and replaces traditional sulphur recovery with a more compact solution.
Depending on the type of plant, a sulphur recovery rate of up to 99.7% can thus be achieved.
The CDM 4-way valve developed by OHL is already in use in numerous reference plants worldwide using SmartSulf® systems.
In these processes, the OHL CDM 4-way valve is installed directly upstream and downstream of the hot gas reactor and requires only minimal monitoring as a result of its automation.
