Energy services provider Expro has unveiled Solus™, a high-debris, single shear-and-seal ball valve system designed to streamline operations in the complex oil and gas sector.
Unlike traditional arrangements that use two separate valves, Solus integrates shear and seal capabilities into a single bi-directional valve, compliant with API Std 17G and fully NACE MR0175 tested to withstand corrosive environments.
This innovation is suitable for use on wireline and coiled tubing in both riser and open-water applications throughout a well’s lifecycle, from completion to abandonment, offering reduced complexity, fewer failure points and potentially lower operational costs on offshore projects.
