Evoqua Water Technologies acquires water filtration and disinfection specialist Neptune Benson
US-based Evoqua Water Technologies has signed a definitive agreement to acquire privately held Neptune Benson, a manufacturer of water filtration and disinfection products for the recreational, industrial, and municipal water markets.
Neptune Benson’s filtration and ultra-violet disinfection products can be found in more than 20,000 installations worldwide, covering 45 countries.
The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, and the transaction is expected to close this spring and is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
Neptune Benson has 110 employees across four operations in Coventry, Richmond; Beaver Dam, Wisconsin; Bridgeport, Connecticut, and Montreal, Canada.
Its leading brands include Defender regenerative media filter, ETS-UV disinfection system, Vortisand and Legacy sand filters, Aegis anti-entrapment shields, Dominion butterfly valves, Guardian strainers, Greendrive VFD systems, and Lawson Aquatics accessories.
Ken Rodi, CEO of Neptune Benson, will become a member of Evoqua’s leadership team.
