CZ pump series sets new benchmark for sewage handling reliability

news item image
Pump manufacturer Tsurumi is strengthening its position in the municipal sewage sector with the continued success of its CZ pump series, which has rapidly become one of the company’s flagship product lines.
Designed specifically for sewage containing high levels of solids and fibres, the CZ series addresses an area where conventional pumps often struggle. At the core of the design is a distinctive shredding system that combines a heart shaped suction plate with a sharp scissor mechanism. This configuration ensures that difficult materials such as textiles, wet wipes and other solids are reliably captured and shredded before reaching the hydraulic section, supporting continuous operation without blockages.
With motor outputs of up to 15 kW, the CZ series is suited to typical municipal applications where operational reliability, low maintenance and consistent performance are essential. According to the manufacturer, the pumps have proven particularly effective in installations that previously suffered from frequent downtime, manual intervention or the need for redundant pump arrangements.
Tsurumi’s portfolio for wastewater treatment is further supported by solutions for the biological treatment stage. The company’s TRN submersible aerators offer a robust and low maintenance option for oxygenation and can be flexibly integrated into existing basins in municipal plants.
Digitalisation is another key focus, with Tsurumi Connect providing open, manufacturer independent monitoring and control. The system reflects the reality of many treatment plants, allowing condition monitoring, alarms and straightforward integration across mixed and evolving installations.
