Atlas Copco is set to acquire Kracht, a technology manufacturer of external gear pumps, fluid measurement, valves, hydraulic drives and dosing systems.
Headquartered in Werdhol, Germany, Kracht has subsidiaries in the US, China, and Hungary and approximately 440 employees. In 2022, the company had revenues of approximately €72 million.
Andrew Walker, president of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique business area, said: “Last year, we acquired LEWA and Wangen, and we are now further expanding our portfolio within positive displacement pumps with additional technologies.
“The industrial pump segment has been identified as a strategic fit for the group. This acquisition will be a further step for us within this segment, which plays a crucial role within many industries.”
The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in the first quarter of next year.
The business will become part of the Power and Flow Division within the Power Technique business area.
