Leading chemical manufacturer finds success with switch to Börger pump

In a press release, leading pump manufacturer and supplier Börger detailed the success of its rotary lobe pump with an undisclosed international chemical and additives manufacturer. The pump was used in a liquid calcium operation, handling temperatures of 90-120°C.

According to Börger, the pump has reduced maintenance cost compared to its predecessor at the facility, as well as decreased downtime.

The fluid handling firm outlined the replacement of a screw pump which often required costly repairs and how their rotary lobe pump was able to fit the manufacturer’s need for a definitive solution.

Börger claims that the pump has exceeded expectations, successfully handling the liquid calcium stearate’s 100-5,000 mPas viscosity without any breakdowns or damages.
