Finnish company Metso announced that it will be investing into a new greenfield valve technology centre in Jiaxing, China.
The facility will begin operations in spring 2020, serving both the local and global markets.
“This is an exciting day for both Metso and our valve customers in various process industries globally - we are investing in improving service and delivery capabilities for them,” said Kevin Tinsley, senior vice-president of Valve Operations at Metso.
“China is an extremely significant market for our valve business, and the new technology center will have a strong role.”
According to Metso, the facility will provide a workplace for 400 valve technology professionals with the centre’s core focus on producing high-volume standard products and parts for Metso’s valve plants.
