BPMA bolstered with new technical services officer

The British Pump Manufacturer’s Association has appointed Gary Wilde as its new technical services officer.

Initially, Wilde’s role at the BPMA will be to ‘instigate and manage’ a number of special projects. Ultimately, the position will expand to encompass ‘the majority of technical functions within the organisation.’

Wilde has held a variety of roles at Xylem, in both the UK and Italy. With 30 years’ experience in the pump industry, he has spent more than a decade on BPMA’s circulator pumps committee.

“I’m delighted to be joining the BPMA, an organization I have admired and had the pleasure of working alongside for many years,” Wilde commented in a BPMA statement.

“My role is to support the pump industry and ensure that its voice is heard on all and any technical matters. I’m looking forward to meeting the BPMA membership, many of whom are old friends and colleagues, in the coming weeks and months.”

Steve Schofield, Director and CEO at the BPMA added, “We are delighted to be welcoming Gary into the team here at the BPMA.  He has been a longstanding supporter of the Association, having engaged with us extensively whilst working for Xylem here in the UK.

“He brings a wealth of experience to the new role of Technical Services Officer, which I feel sure will serve both him and our growing membership very well indeed.”
