Grundfos ‘opens up’ Ecademy for water and waste water sectors

Grundfos has launched a new area of its Ecademy specifically aimed at professionals who work in the water and wastewater sectors.

The Ecademy is described by Grundfos as a learning tool for engineering professionals. It is a free online training platform designed to keep its users up-to-date on the latest developments within the pump industry. The platform already has topic sections for commercial buildings, industrial applications and water utilities.

Members can access ‘bite-size’ modules from a smart phone, table or computer. The initial range of subjects look at pumps, their applications, and the theory behind them.

According to the company, these initial themes focus on gaining a better understanding of the motors used in pumps, guidance on identifying the optimal pumps size, explaining groundwater pumping, and how to optimise pump selection for wastewater.

Grundfos has an ongoing schedule to add more topics to the platform.
