Schenck Process buys digital assets and IP from insolvent FPE Global

The company expects the acquisition to complement their current business in the systems, service and process sectors.

FPE Global, a company that manufactured processing technologies and industrial mixing systems for the chemicals and plastics industries (as well as for other consumer industries), went into administration at the end of November 2017.

The FTP product range will be incorporated into Schenck Process’ bulk material handling solutions. According to Schenk, this will ensure the quality of their products in the systems, process and service market moving forwards.

Jay Brown, president of food, chemicals and plastics at Schenck Process said in a press release: “The FPE product range is in perfect alignment with our Schenck Process core competencies: providing high level material handling and processing solutions worldwide. As a growing company, the add-on of FPE’s product portfolio to our group enables us to further extend our solution capabilities”.

Following the acquisition, Schenck Process will provide service packages to current and former FPE customers with upgrades, maintenance and spare parts. The company also hopes to create new components, system solutions and projects with the once FPE assets and intellectual property.
