Aventics appoints new COO

Andreas Ostermann von Roth completes the executive board after his predecessor left mid-2017.

In the new role, which he began 1 January 2018, von Roth will be in charge of the Aventics plants across Europe as well as in the US and China, he will also cover procurement, logistics, and quality management.

Aventics specialises in pneumatic ‘components, systems and customer-specific application’ in multiple industries including energy and robotics. The company employs approximately 2,000 associates globally, with a presence in more than 90 countries.

von Roth’s background is in production, procurement, and logistics. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President Operations at KUKA Roboter GmbH, where he was responsible for supply chain management. Before this, he held various management positions at Spectrum Brands, Varta Gerätebatterie, Behr Thermot-tronik, and Audi.

Dr. Cletus von Pichler, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Aventics , said: “We are very pleased that Andreas has decided to join Aventics,” adding that “with his profound supply chain management experience he will be a great asset to the company and strengthen its leadership.”
