Morrison to deliver pumps to Virginia wastewater treatment project

Morrison Pump Company, based in Florida, US, has received an order to supply its new moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR) recycle pumps for the Hopewell Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility Project in Virginia.

The horizontal axial flow pumps are part of the overall $70 million (€62.3 million) design build project awarded to Hopewell Nutrient Partners, a joint venture between HDR Engineering and PC Construction, for the design and construction of nitrogen removal facilities at the 50 million gallons per day water treatment plant.

The new MBBR treatment system will be utilised to meet the new nitrogen levels.

The pumps are scheduled for delivery in the spring of 2016.
