BBA launches new dewatering pump
BBA Pumps has launched the new BA100K, a diesel-driven 4” solids handling mobile pump set.
The unit delivers good pumping performance combined with a low cost of maintenance and minimal exhaust emissions.
The dry self-priming dewatering and sewage pump has a capacity of over 190m3/hour (836 US GPM), a maximum head of 22mwc, and features free passage of 82mm.
It is driven by a single-cylinder diesel engine with a calculated maximum fuel consumption of 1.75l/h.
The used DriveOn technology increases the service interval of BA100K from 500 operational hours, normal for standard engines, to 1,500 hours.
In addition to the increased service life, BBA says DriveOn decreases the need for maintenance to the diesel engine 65%, while providing 25% savings in engine oil.
The RF system, an exhaust module developed by BBA, provides the capability to equip the pump with an optional soot filter/catalytic module, which reduces exhaust emissions to virtually zero.
This system gives more flexibility to the end user, allowing the BA100K to be used in more locations, including towns and city centres with strict environmental rules.
The pumps also features a sound attenuated canopy, with a hot-dip galvanized steel frame and composite doors and panels.
BBA says the BA100K is capable of pumping up to 110m3 of medium per litre of fuel used.
