Colfax delivers propeller pumps for chemical applications
Colfax Fluid Handling has delivered three Allweiler propeller pumps to a German chemical company at end of 2014.
The pumps were delivered to Cordenka, based in Obernburg, which manufactures technical fabrics and cords.
Cordenka also produces sodium sulphate, which it sells to detergent and glass industries.
Since the end of 2014, Cordenka has used three additional new propeller pumps from Allweiler.
The pumps move saturated sodium sulfate at a rate of 750m3/h, with a delivery head of 3.5m.
Beside the new pumps, Cordenka has used about 100 Allweiler pumps, mainly three-screw and centrifugal pumps, for several years.
Gunter Connert, Allweiler's sales manager in Germany, says its propeller pumps have been used in the chemical industry for large capacity applications of up to 50,000m3/h.
