Fox Thermal Instruments launches new flowmeter

California-based firm Fox Thermal Instruments has announced the launch of its latest product, a redesigned version of one of its leading flowmeter models.

The company has 'revamped' its product line with the FT2A Thermal Mass Flow Meter and Temperature Transmitter. The FT2A is, the company says, an improved version of the Model FT2 flowmeter.

Offering BACnet MS/TP, RS485 Modbus, Profibus-DP, DeviceNet, and Ethernet Modbus TCP communications options, the FT2A features dual 4–20 mA outputs – one for flow and another with flow or temperature selection – and pulse output (pulses per unit/units per pulse).

Also included is the company's FT2A View software, allowing adjustments to meter configuration, evaluation of alarm conditions, collection of process data, and measurement viewing from a PC or control station. A USB port allows direct connection to PC.
