WEFTEC 2017 Preview: Verder

Ahead of WEFTEC 2017 (30 September – 4 October at McCormick Place in Chicago), Fluid Handling International presents an introduction to Verder, who’ll be exhibiting at Booth #623

Who is Verder?

Verder Liquids is a part of Verder Group, founded by Andre Verder in the Netherlands in 1959. The company manufactures and supplies a broad range of positive displacement pumps which transfer a wide variety of liquids in the water treatment, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, as well as in food processing and more.

The company has a multitude of brands, including Verderflex Green peristaltic pumps, Verderhus screw centrifugal pumps, Verderair double diaphragm pumps and the Verdermag magdrive pump.

Verder will display a host of its pump lines at WEFTEC 2017. Visitors to the company’s booth will be able to gain hands-on experience with all of the company’s products, including its latest offering, the Verderflex Vantage 5000 peristaltic metering pump and chemical metering skid.

The Verderflex Vantage 5000 is already being used in precision dosing and dispensing. With the MODBUS RTU option however, the pump can also be integrated into a sophisticated, remotely operated pumping network.

Modbus RTU is an industry standard, license free data communications protocol which allows a single master controller, such as a PLC, to easily interface with more than 240 uniquely addressed, daisy chained Verderflex Vantage 5000 pumps, creating a digitally controlled and networked high resolution dosing or metering system. Each pump can be easily set-up using a touch screen user interface and data rates can be as high as 921600 baud.

All pumps in the Verderflex Vantage 5000 range combine a 4000:1 turndown with high discharge pressures, intuitive touch screen display, a real time event clock and a USB backup port. The pump functions with loose tubing at up to 2 bar or with dedicated Quick Release of Mini TriClamp tube assemblies at pressures of up to 7 bar.

On 30 September the water industry will head to Chicago, Illinois’ McCormick Place for WEFTEC 2017.

The US’ Water Environment Federation’s Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC) has grown into a world leading event for developments in water quality, research, solutions, knowledge development and cutting edge technologies. With thousands of water and wastewater professionals attending from around the world, WEFTEC 2017 will host a programme of technical sessions and workshops alongside an exhibition of some of the biggest companies involved in water and wastewater.

In the run up to the event, Fluid Handling International will be profiling some of the major exhibitors, and the products they’ll be showcasing.
