Hydraulic Institute and Fluid Sealing Association to co-locate events

The Hydraulic Institute will co-locate its 2017 Fall Conference with the Fluid Sealing Association Fall Meeting for the first time. The joint event will take place at the Renaissance Worthington in Fort Worth, Texas, on 23-26 October 2017.

As the Hydraulic Institute celebrates a century of existence in 2017, the co-located conference is set to celebrate this milestone. “We were looking at ways of bringing the community together to recognise this milestone”, stated Michael Michaud Executive Director of the Hydraulic Institute, in a statement. “By co-locating these two events, we are able to and add considerable value to each organisation’s meetings through the shared general sessions and expanded networking and social program.”

Peter Lance, the executive director the Fluid Sealing Association, said: “We are always looking for ways to collaborate with other organisations to bring more value to members, and this will provide an excellent opportunity for members to be exposed to enhanced content, while connecting with a broader group of industry peers.”

The conference will focus on a number of issues connected to the pumps, hydraulics and fluid handling industry. Highlights already announced include:

  • Nearly 30 HI technical, education, and marketing committee meetings
  • Half day of general sessions
  • Joint HI/FSA CEO Forum
  • Expanded tabletop display program
  • Two Pump Knowledge Workshops:
o How to Design Stuffing Boxes and Seal Chambers
    o Expansion Joint Technology
  • Pump Industry Leaders of  Tomorrow (PILOT) Program
  • Women in Pumps dinner
  • Technical tour
