World leading flow measurement expert joins NEL team

Flow measurement R&D specialist NEL has appointed Bruno Pinguet, one of the world’s leading experts in multiphase flow measurement, as senior consultant. 

With more than 25 years of international experience, Pinguet is recognised as a world authority and he has published over 140 scientific papers and holds a number of patents.

His appointment will help NEL to drive forward the next generation of multiphase flow measurement challenges and focus on helping industry achieve the cost-effective exploitation of reserves in technically challenging production environments, NEL said in a statement.

In particular, Pinguet will be working on the verification of in-situ meter performance, a key gap in the current measurement traceability chain.

“Bruno has joined to help us remain at the cutting edge of multiphase flow measurement, at a time when the discipline faces a whole new set of exciting challenges,” Brian Millington, managing director at NEL, said.

“Bruno’s appointment will also strengthen our capability in all aspects of the fundamental science that underpins the whole area of flow measurement,” he concluded.
