Viega introduces 45° elbows for its press systems

US-based Viega has released new 45° elbows for its PEX Press systems that allow users to install larger tubing with the company’s press technology.

The new, polymer PEX Press elbows are available in 1½" and 2" sizes and feature Viega's patented Smart ConnectR feature that allows water to flow past an unpressed fitting, providing installers with added confidence in their connections.

The PEX Press elbows are part of Viega's growing line of products designed for commercial applications that also include the PEX Press test plugs, 90° flare elbows, reducing tees, and pipe supports.

The Viega PEX Press is the only system on the market moulded from Radel-RR, a high-performance plastic material.

The fittings are factory assembled with attached stainless steel sleeves with three view holes that helps installers insert tubing correctly, ensuring proper installation, while colour-coded tool locator rings assure proper alignment of the press tool.

The Viega PEX Press system can be used with all of the company’s tubing products, including ViegaPEXTM, ViegaPEX Ultra, ViegaPEX Barrier, and Viega FostaPEXR.
