Fluiten approved for the vendor list for Egyptian Zohr gas field

Italian seal manufacturer Fluiten has been qualified and approved for the vendor list by Petrobel, the oil company managing the Zohr gas field.

This is a lengthy and rigorous process in which the financial position of the company, its technical capabilities as well as its manufacturing productivity, are evaluated.

The Zohr field is one of the most important gas reserves discovered in recent years with an estimated potential production of 2.7 billion cubic feet per day by 2019.

ENI, which hold a 100% stake in the Shorouk Block through is subsidiary IEOC Production, discovered the Zohr gas field in 2015 off the Egyptian coast near the border with Cyprus, and has recently announced the drilling of its fifth well in the field.

Petrobel is operating the activities on behalf of the Petroshorouk Co., an equal joint venture between IEOC and the state-owned Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Co.

Fluiten is already working with equipment manufacturers and engineering companies involved in initial projects in the field.

Oil and gas applications demand very high performance and reliability in extreme operating conditions with hazardous process liquids and emissions, as well as high pressure, temperatures, and speed.
