Easy maintenance of progressing cavity pumps in biogas production

The positive displacement pump expert Netzsch Pumps & Systems has developed the Full Service in Place (FSIP) concept for progressing cavity pumps and rotary lobe pumps.

In biogas production, processes must inter-relate smoothly and downtimes should be avoided whenever possible – even service breaks should be plannable and short.

The FSIP system thereby improves the service-friendliness as an essential process element in many applications.

The FSIP concept makes maintenance of pumping equipment possible without dismantling it from the piping.

This approach has proven itself in practice with the Netzsch Tornado T2 rotary lobe pumps, and an FSIP version of the Nemo progressing cavity pump has now also been introduced in the market.

The new design saves time on inspection, repair, and cleaning work, while even reducing the required installation space, since an additional expansion space to remove the stator is omitted.
